Squinty

Terms of Use

Last updated October 22, 2026

The short version

Using Squinty

These terms apply to the Squinty browser extension, the website at getsquinty.com, and the Squinty server (together, "Squinty"). By installing or using Squinty, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Squinty.

Not advice

Squinty summarizes and grades documents such as privacy policies, terms of service, financial offers, and insurance policies. Its reviews are general information to help you read the fine print. They are not legal, financial, insurance, or other professional advice, and using Squinty doesn't create any professional relationship. Before you make an important decision, such as signing a contract, accepting a credit offer, or changing your insurance, read the document itself and talk to a qualified professional, such as a lawyer, financial advisor, or your insurance agent.

AI can be wrong

Reviews are written by an AI model. They can contain mistakes, leave out important terms, or misjudge how a term affects you. Grades are opinions based on Squinty's own scoring approach, not facts about a company. Squinty shows quotes from the document so you can check its work.

Company names

Squinty names the companies whose documents it reviews so you know what you're looking at. Company names, logos, and trademarks belong to their owners. Squinty isn't affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any company it reviews.

The Squinty name and logo

The Squinty name and logo belong to Squinty. You're welcome to use them to refer to Squinty, following the guidelines at getsquinty.com/brand. Please don't use them in a way that suggests Squinty endorses or sponsors you.

Free reviews and fair use

The free version includes a limited number of AI reviews each week. Reviews that someone has already run on a public page may be shown for free. Limits can change. Please don't try to get around them, overload the service, use Squinty to build a competing service, or use it for anything unlawful.

Your documents

Only send documents you have the right to share. You keep all rights to what you send. You allow Squinty to process each document to produce your review, as described in our Privacy Policy. Reviews of public web pages may be saved and shown to other people who open the same page.

Availability

We try to keep Squinty running well, but we don't promise it will always be available, error free, or able to read every page or file. We may change or stop features at any time.

No warranties

Squinty is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Squinty and its maker are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on a review. Our total liability for any claim related to Squinty is limited to the amount you paid for Squinty in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven't paid anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Squinty after a change, the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
